OUR MISSION

Saavan’s Trust exists to help improve the lives of impoverished children through education in rural parts of the world by building schools and providing education where there is none.

We believe education is paramount in building confidence, community, security and character and makes a tangible difference, which children can rely upon in future life.

OUR APPROACH

We work together with Action Aid – a leading global children’s charity that supports Saavan’s Trust.

Action Aid provide us with local knowledge and team support in specific rural areas and we work with them to identify new projects. They manage the local logistical issues which allows Saavan’s Trust to focus on the build and to work closely with the people in the local community.

Every single penny we raise is given directly to the build and those who need it most. None of our trustees are remunerated and the costs of flying and staying on location are all covered privately.

Our work is ‘hands on’, meaning we are involved in the actual construction at the site and oversee the entire build process.

We not only build the schools, it also very important that we also furnish them with classroom furniture and provide educational materials such as books, writing boards, pens and pencils.

OUR TRUSTEES

I’m Gush, Saavan’s father and Chairman of Saavan’s Trust. I own and run a global branding business. I want our charity and its work to reflect Saavan’s positivity, humility and warm nature.

I’m Jay – Saavan’s mother. I have been involved within the charity sector for several years previously. I want our charity and its work to embody Saavan’s kind spirit and love of humanity.

I’m Jonny, age old friend of the family and Gush Mundae’s business partner... being a Trustee is an immeasurable honour. Doing good for so many disadvantaged children in Saavan’s name is a fitting homage to such a wonderful young man.

I’m Nick – Family friend and colleague of Gush. After sharing in the years that Saavan grew from a baby to a fine young man, I feel privileged to be a part of the team and proud to continue the great work that Saavan began.

I’m Fran, family friend and Trustee for Saavan’s Trust. I am honoured to be part of a charity that has such pure intentions to create a fitting legacy for such a warm and kind young man. Seeing the opportunities and togetherness our projects bring to others is hugely rewarding and I’m excited to continue making a difference to people who truly benefit from our support.

I'm Jas, Saavan's Aunt. It's impossible to describe in words what Saavan meant to me - all I can simply say is I will always love him and I have never known such a beautiful soul. Saavan's Trust enables Saavan's soul to keep touching people and I am humbled and proud to be a small part of enabling this to happen.
